Resurrecting IC150a & DC300a

These babies have been in storage since '92, and I thought that I'd see if they still worked. The last time I used them they sounded bad, But I'm hoping that it was because the speakers had disintegrated(literally). Are there any suggestions concerning bringing these back online?

Also, these units have the 'finish kit'. Which is Rosewood(I believe) and a silver alloy panel. I am missing one of the screws that connects this 'panel' to the amp. Where might I find one of these? It's a silver thumbscrew type of connector.

Thanks,

....jc

Since the units have set for a while I would check most of the caps.

The service manual for the DL2 is available from our web site at: http://www.crownaudio.com/gen_htm/legacy/legaclin.htm and the DC300A service manual is available at: http://www.crownaudio.com/gen_htm/legacy/legacamp.htm

I believe the screw you are referring to the the 10-32 Thumbscrews used to mount the unit to the rack rails of the wood case. The part number for the Thumbscrew is part number D4098-6 and still available from our parts department.

David,

I'm not an electronic technician, so I have no idea what a 'cap' is. :( Maybe I should have a real tech check them out!

Thanks for the info on the thumbscrews!
