Team I need help setting up a system I purchased from my brother. what I have so far is the following 2 SRX 715 1 SRX 728 two XTi 4002's and one ITech 6000 one drive rack and various decks and mics. how should I run this setup? should I run the 4002's bridged to the SRX 715 and the Itech 6000 to the 728? or should I run the 6000 in stereo mode to the srx 715 and the 4002 to the 728 in bridge or one one 4002 to each sub in the 728 cabinet

With out a dought the first configuration and you don't need the DriveRack, the DSP on the itech is much better and on the XTi it's pretty much on the same level, well that still depends on which DriveRack you own. Actually you can sell the two XTis and upgrade to a second itech 4000 for a complete pro rig at next to nothing. Used 4002 sell for 500-600$ and a used itech 4000 will cost about 1100-1200$. All the prices are from me following eBay auctions for the past couple of years. If you have a DriveRack processor you can sell it too and maybe get the itech 8000 which is more suited to handling the 728 in stereo mode (dual mono to be exact).

Thanks for the advice. now I have a few more questions because now i'm really lost. as I mentioned before I have two srx 715s and the srx 728 with two xti 4002 and one ITech 6000. you mentioned not to use the drive rack pro pa+ for this setup. with this in mind how do I setup the system to run the 715 in bridge mode one with each 4002 and how do I setup the ITech 6000 to run the 728? what settings do I need to make in the amps to have them run this setup clean and efficient. thanks

First, you should verify you have all the cables needed to connect everything.

Then you connect the right signal cable from your console to the right XTi and the left signal cable to the left XTi.

The iTech should get both right and left signal cables.

Connect all the amps to a windows laptop loaded with System Architect, using the proper cables. USB cable for the XTi's and Ethernet cable for the iTech.

Load each of the amps with relevant presets from Crown or JBL website, each of the XTi's with 715 presets and the iTech with the 728 presets.

All the configurations are made with System Architect, it's a free software pack you download from Harman pro website. Familiar yourself with this program as it will be a very useful tool for you. There are plenty of video tutorials for SA on that site as well.

That's a good starting point, connect everything, make sure it's all working and update us as you go along :)
