  1. XTI 6000 vs I-Tech5000-HD

Dear Kevin, you have been very clear and answered perfectly to what I wanted to know. Thank you so much. Last question I don't have and AES output on the PC sound card, but an Spdif which for what I know is very similar to AES, by making an AES to Spdf cable should it work ? I've already done it on other equipment and always worked what about the I-Tech? Thanks again
  2. I want a Simple, but High quality system system for my HI-FI / Home Theater : My source is a PC with digital out (music files Wav or Flac) the D/A is an Apogee Rosetta 200 My speakers are vintage JBL 4350 Studio Monitors (bi-amped) the amps are two XTI 6000 I use the internal crossovers This system sound great, but I was wondering if the I-Tech 5000HD would sound even better. My question is : What are the Technical differences in between the XTI6000 and the IT 5000HD apart from a more flexible and refined DSP section of the HD's and the AES/EBU in, the power section looks very similar if not the same?? What about the AES/EBU digital in of the IT5000HD, how good is its D/A? Can I compare it in terms of quality to the Apogee Rosetta 200? and if so I could remove it also?! One PC with digital out TWO IT 5000 HD Two biamped JBL 4350 Super Simple, Super Nice, Super sound ??
  3. What is the Sonic Reproduction Difference and build quality in between an XTi6000 and I-tech4000 that can justify their price difference? (same power isn't it?) Can you hear the difference in between the two units? and What is different inside the two amps? I know the I-tech has digital input and more advanced dsp functions but again : What is the Sonic Reproduction Difference and build quality in between an XTi6000 and I-tech4000 Thank you
  4. Thank you very much for your clear answer but I would need some different infos: Yes I understand DSP fuctions which can be very usefull, and Power requirements, I always use at least two fold power output for the amps compared to my speakers (it is much easier to blow speakers by clipping an amp than by giving it clear undistorted power). but to be more specific: What is the Sonic Reproduction Difference and build quality in between an XTi6000 and I-tech4000 that can justify their price difference? Can you hear a difference in between the two units? and What is different inside the two amps?
  5. First of all Congratulation to Crown for giving such a wide Amp Productiion Range to the market ! I have no doubts everybody can find the right amp for its special needs, but........................... how to choose from such an ample offering from Crown ?? XLS XTi I-Tech I-Tech HD Macrotech-I and many more... Even if I have been reading all Spec Sheets and Performance data on your web site, it is quite difficult if not impossible to make a choice just from those data. Firstly, Spec Sheets and datas on the different Amp series are different one from the other, there is almost no way to compare in between the different series. As an example why XTi power is indicated only at 1Khz and I-Tech at full audio spectrum? Why Crown dont let us compare "Apples with apples and Pears with Pears" ?? I am no professional but a simple audio-HT enthusiast who would like to design its own Music/HT room with Crown amps. My room is quite large, about 1000 sqft and will have 7.1 channels plus no. 6 18" subwofers all from JBL. My choice would be in between XLS Xti I-Tech or Macrotech My primary goal is SOUND QUALITY which I can also define as Accuracy of Reproductuion. Weight is not a concern, nor power consumption. Which amp is more "Musical" or Accurate in reproduction and why, which are the main differences in between these series? Prices are very different but I can't understand why. Thank you
