  1. 220 AC Mains Voltage

    I've finally gotten some L6-15P 15A250V (twist-loc) connectors to put on the amps for running them 220V. The wiring color code isn't white for neutral and black for hot, or even silver and brass as the connector instructions call for. There's blue, brown, and green w/ yellow stripe in the cord. I presume the green is ground, which of the others is neutral and which is hot, or doesn't it matter since it's 220V? My first time wiring this particular connector. Please excuse my learning curve! Thanks. No we do not have them in stock as most people do not have 220V outlets usually available to them in the US except for higher current devices like electric dryers and stoves. You would have to obtain the cord from either an Electrical Supplier or an Electronic Supplier. The cord would have a standard IEC 60320 cord end (for the amp) and a NEMA 6-15P on the other (for the wall outlet). You would then want to obtain a NEMA 6-15R receptical/outlet to supply the 220v. Be aware that the cord may have to be ordered. I did find some data on the cord, from a cord manufacture, that shows the cord ends you will be looking for. This information can also be used if you need to order the cord. Below is the link: http://www.interpower.com/scripts/cgiip.ex...w_part=86610100 If you cannot find the cord then you can also purchase a NEMA 6-15P plug, cut of the end of a standard 110/120v 15 amp IEC cord (like the one that came with the amp) and replace it with the 6-15P. Both the NEMA 6-15 plug and receptacle/outlet can be purchased at just about any Electrical Supply including Lowes, Home Depo and ACE Hadware.

  4. When powering the XTI series amps with 220-240V, does the amp sense what voltage it is and adjust accordingly? I don't see any switch for that. And I assume it just uses the supplied Edison 110V conector, is that correct? Exactly how does that work? My single phase distro has 2 hots, and neutral and a ground, with 220V between the 2 hot legs, and 110V between each leg and neutral, if I remember right. Do you just wire the two hot legs to the Edison for 220V? The current draw for an XTI 2000 is shown as 6.9A. If you're running at 220V, would the current draw be half that? that would be more efficient, wouldn't it, which is why I'm interested in it. Thanks for your help.
  5. How high a crossover frequency can I set with XTI amps? Or can I set a high pass filter on each channel? I'm wanting to run horns off one side of an XTI 1000, and the tweeters off the other side. I need to cut them at about 5-6KHz, either with a x-over between the two channels, or just put in a high pass filter on the tweeter side at that frequency. Is this possible? I haven't found anything that says what the frequency limits are. Thank you very much.
