About charlie wilson

  1. I have an XTI 4000 running in full range driving a pair of FBT Maxx 9S subs and FBT HI Maxx 40's, trouble is theres not enough low end and there seems to be a bit to much hi. Question is how do you change this in band manager?
  2. To any Forum Admin

I like the idea of factory presets from the manufactures as I don't know what I'm doing however my speaker manufacture (FBT) either hasn't done any or I can't find them. I have just emailed them. Was hoping to see Crown at BPM this year so I could bring my gear in so you could set it up for me.
  3. RED Light

I'm running two inputs into the sub amp, I did choose a custom crossover point. Do you have skype? if so, I could share the screen with you in order to get this setup. By the way it's free and calls are free too. www.skype.com
  4. RED Light

Hi Mate, Don't worry I don't pay any attention to negative stuff or sarcasm on forums, just concentrate on getting the job done. No problems by the way I appreciate that your now trying to help. I ran 3 PV amps, Peavey GPS 3400, 2600 & 1500. Actually these were Crest amps re-badged after PV bought them out. Yes, I downloaded band manager but don't know what setting to set to. Indication wise, it's a volume thing nothing to do with the equipment or wiring. 4ohm Subs - Pair (FBT Verve 15S) 8ohm Tops - Pair (FBT Verve 152's) Basically I have one amp for the tops and one amp for the bottoms. I also have FBT Maxx9S subs 4ohm (Built in Crossover) and FBT Himaxx 40's, 8ohm. I pick n choose depending on what venue and size audience I'm playing for, but always verve's with verve's and maxx with maxx, I don't put the verve bins with the himaxx 40's. Speaker cable's I use are Skytronic Legend 2.5mm, 4 Pole, Silver Soldered. Expensive! I had a go with band manager and sorted the amp that controls the subs a bit. - Input CH1+CH2 - Xover set at "2-CH SUB" - Altered crossover curve through software till it sounded good.
  5. RED Light

I am an experienced DJ, when using a conventional amp I would never have the red light on! but with the XTI 4000's the red lights come on so easily. I just thought that it must be ok, oh well
  6. RED Light

What's the story with the red clip light? should these not come on at all or are they ok to flash to the beat?
  7. System Pictures

I use two sets of speakers, Bose and FBT. Sometimes I use my 802mk3's and sometimes my FBT Verve 152's off the amp marked full range. The other amp marked bass bins is obviously just for bass bins, thing is Ill need to make two presets in the full range amp depending on what ever speakers i'm using. Just finding the time after a year!
  8. Subsynth

Thank you very much for your reply, so subsynth is a setting used to drive sub-woofers? if so then I will set my second amp to this setting and plug my subs into it. I will fine tune after that, thing is it's NYE and had to know as obviously I'm going to be busy. Thanks and I'll be in touch over the next couple of days if not tomorrow, you can answer when ever your ready.
  9. Subsynth

  11. XTI 4000

XTI 4000 - Does anyone else know perfect set up for full range speakers? I have one FBT Verve 15" 152s full range speakers on each channel, the signal going into the amp is full range and I want to use the inbuilt crossover and eq to send a mid and hi frequency's only. There are a lot of settings from limiting to this that and the other, I was just wondering if anyone on here had messed about with one for years n finally come up with something really good.

  14. XTI 4000 Instructions

Thanks for the support looks like there need to be something done. I have BOSE gear too and the instructions are fantastic for the eq's and crossovers, this is definitely something I'm going to bear in mine next time I purchase some equipment. I am still waiting for someone from Crown to contact me.
