ELKHART, Indiana - October 2003 --Crown's CTs Series 2-Channel amplifier with Ethernet was awarded the prestigious TEC (Technical Excellence & Creativity) Award. The combination of the CTs 2-channel amplifier series with IQ Network control and digital audio transport won the award for Outstanding Technical Achievement in the Amplifier Technology category at the 19th Annual TEC Awards ceremony, held October 11, 2003 in New York City.

Mark Graham, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development at Crown stated, "We are very proud to receive this recognition. Our CTs Series amplifiers have raised the bar in terms of what an amplifier for installed sound should be. With the integration of proven network control and digital audio transport, CTs offers a combination of power, performance and value that is unmatched in the industry."

The CTs Series 2-channel amplifiers represent a high-powered, flexible and affordable solution for integrated systems. All 2-channel modules are two rack space, and feature regulated switch-mode power supplies for lightweight, reliable performance. They are also designed to be easily integrated in networked systems with the addition of a range of PIP modules that communicate on standard Fast Ethernet networks via Crown's 'TCP/IQ' protocol. Both IQ Network communication and the digital audio are transported via a common 100 Mbit Ethernet network, made possible by the proprietary "single-click" solution provided by TCP/IQ.

Other Harman Pro brands were recognized as well, with AKG and JBL winning TEC awards and AKG, dbx Professional, Lexicon, Soundcraft and Studer receiving nominations, emphasizing the strength of the Harman family of products for professional audio.
