ELKHART, IN - May 31, 2005 -- Crown International announced today that their new Commercial Audio Series has been nominated for a Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in the Amplifier Technology category. Larry Baker, Crown's Director of Marketing for Installed Sound had this comment: “It’s great to see our Commercial Audio Series recognized in this way. We feel it’s an innovative line of products, and our customers and partners seem to agree as we are receiving an excellent response and very rapid acceptance into the market.” The winners of the 21th Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony Saturday, October 8, at the New York Marriott Marquis, on the second night of the AES Convention. Crown has won the award six times overall and three of the past four years, most recently in 2004 for their I-Tech Series amplifiers. The Crown Commercial Audio Series are high-value mixer and amplifier products for commercial and industrial audio. The line is targeted toward applications including schools, hospitals, factories, restaurant/retail, houses of worship, fitness facilities, A/V boardrooms, prisons, and small offices. The TEC Awards was established by Mix magazine in 1985 to honor outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. The nominations are made by a panel of approximately 100 audio industry professionals. Qualified Mix subscribers will make the final determination via a ballot in the August issue. ## |
