Why are there IQ addresses greater than 250, I thought those were not allowed
TCP/IQ component addresses can be 1 to 65,535. Component addresses are set in software, there are no hardware DIP switches. Each TCP/IQ component on the network must have a unique address., both IQ and TCP/IP. When using a Legacy Gateway: TCP/IQ component addresses are calculated GW+((L-1)*8) + A, where GW is the gateway offset (each gateway on the network must have a unique offset), L is the loop, and A is the component address. On an IQ system connected to a Gateway, component addresses must be unique (e.g. you can't have a mixer at loop 1 address 1 and a PIP at loop 1 address 1).
