Can some please help, I am working on a CTS1200 that had 2 shorted outputs. I replaced all 3 on the same heat sink as well as .68 ohm resistors associated with those drivers. I do not have any more shorts In that channel now. My problem is when I measure the resistance across the base & emitter of the output drivers I get about 34 ohms on all except the 2 that were shorted it is a lot higher. Any ideas on what I should look for. Please help.
Thank You, Frank..
Hi all, I am working on a CTS4200a that will not power on. I found C13, C15 & C16 buldging on the LV module. I am going to do a recap on the whole LV module. I was wondering if there is anything eles I should check before trying to power it up. I have checked the diodes and transistors. This is my first time working on a CTS amp. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You, Frank.
Hi all, I have an XTI 2000 that I'm working on that does not power on. I found another post that descibes the problem I'm having. I Turn unit on and the blue display illuminates, then turns off, then comes back on and the leds run up and down (and then the leds turn off). That's it. It never makes the final click, the blue power LED doesn't come on and the display is almost blank but you can make out a faint "LOW LINE" in it. Anyone ever experience this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You, Frank.
Hi, this is my first post on this forum so please bare with me. I have been working on my xti4000 that will not power on. It is totally dead no lights nothing.
It seems like the problem is in the smps. I believe on TP28 I should have 15 volts I have 0. On tp30 I have about 180 volts. On R375 I have 0 volts on the Zener Diode Side it should be 16V. I replace C196, C201 & C186. Still nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Frank
