I have a mono signal coming from a compressor (A Demeter HXC-1) driving CH1 of my crown. It is crossed over and feeds lows to 1 and highs to 2. I'm confused over the two settings - Input Y and CH1 + CH2. It seems I can't drive the amp to nearly it's full potential, even driving the compressor to max output. I believe I have it set for Input Y. Would I be better choosing CH1+CH2 and daisy-chaining the line output of the XTi's channel 1 to it's own channel 2?
I read in the manual that using Input Y would give a 6 dB boost.
The compressor drives other line level inputs with authority - I usually have to turn it way down.
Apologies if this has been covered, I searched and didn't find...
