Andy Flint from our Marketing Department had this to say in another posting asking a similar question:

"The software has not been released as of yet. It should be available by the end of this month for download.

Once the software has been downloaded and the amplifier is connected to the computer, it will automatically update the amplifier's firmware and you will be ready to start using the software. "

Hi David,
Once the Software is available at the end of this month, will the Software then be automatically loaded into the new XTi Amps leaving the Factory?
The System Architect Software is needed, so that User presets may be saved from
the display itself.
Also some would like the DSP Features in the Amp as in a Driverack 260 but do not have or need a computer/laptop, to do so..
Thanks,
    Bud

Once the software is available it will be packaged with the amplifiers made here at that point.

Software needs to go on a computer and firmware goes in the device. When you start the software, on the computer while connected to a Xti/CDi/DSi, and the device has older firmware the software will tell you that you need to upgrade. Note: Current shipping firmware will need to be upgraded before the software can control the device.

The display of the amp is what it is-the amp is a mid level amp. To add a display similar that used on the Driveracks would have priced the product out of the market share it is aimed for.

Again I need to make the point clear these are not baby I-Techs they are a cost effective amplifier with on board DSP that is raising the bar of products in that market segment. They will not have the same functionality as an I-Tech as far as monitor and control. The software is basically for setting up the amp with limited monitoring functions and network abilities that are based on USB not Ethernet. smile.gif
