A paper clip fell into the left side (grill opening) while the amp. was working, and now that channel one is dead. I open the unit to recover the clip and try to find any blew component, but the only thing I found is a red led light "on" that is marked  "Fault" on the main board (043400-3). Channel two is working fine. Does any one have an idea if this can be worthed the cost the repair? This amp. cost me $380. sad.gif

Most likely that will be a shorted low side failure and would include mostly the 4 lowside output transistors, two drivers and possibly a couple of diodes.
Just a guesstimate in pricing......less than $50.00 in parts and what ever the shop rate would be for the time. We no longer service Power Base amps here at Crown but an competent independent service center should be able to handle it for you.
If you so desire Crown Authorized Service Centers can be found on our web site at: http://www.crownaudio.com/support/servcent.htm smile.gif
