I'm really new to sound systems and all but I recently bought a 602 and I'm connecting it w/ a Behringer mixer and some cheap speakers I intend to replace soon.
I'm cranking my amp about 3/4 of the way and the faders on the mixer are well over half way up and I'm not getting the 600 watts per channel. The speakers do not match the wattage of the amp (they are 250 w each) but I'm not even getting distortion or feed back through the speakers when I have it turned up.
I'm connecting everything stereo using speakon 2-pole cables. Any ideas?

Hi Emoon,
We would need a lot more Information to help you out.
1) What Make and Model are your speakers?
2) You say 250 watts, is that at 4 ohms or 8 ohms?
3) Have you set your Gain Structure correctly from your mixer to the Amp?
Read this: Gain Structure
4) Are you using a Crossover for your Speakers?
Give US some more Info and we will see what we can do to help you.
Later,
Bud

Hi,
If you have the ability to download and burn a CD or if you know a friend that can do it for you.
I highly advise you to make a copy of Michael "Binks" Knowel's, Live Audio Test CD.
It has many tracks that will aid you in setting up your system.
Read the Information that comes with it.
Here is the Link: Bink's Audio Test CD
