This is a basic question - Can I run a 4ohm load on one channel and an 8 ohm load from the other channel from a CE1000?  I know this is not best practice and I know my DC300A will not handle this but if the CE1000 can handle this it would be helpful.

You should have no problem running different loads on separate amplifier channels.
