Hi was wondering wether it is safe to run 2 IT4000's on a 8kva generator there would probably also be round 2k of lighting running on same generator.  Have been told by a couple of people that it is not safe to run digital amps on generators? Any help appreciated.

There shouldn't be a problem running the amps from a generator as long as it can supply enough current and is fully regulated.
