Im using:
2 Electrovoice EV SX500
(Two-way 15-inch full-range system. Continuous 400 Watts, Peak 1,600 watts, 8 ohm. The manual from EV recommends 600-800Watts for normal use & 800-1200W for professional use.)

2 18" Cerwin-vega Sub-18
(Continuous 600 Watts, Peak: 1200 Watts, 8 ohm).

We mostly play smaller clubs with 100 - 300 people.
(I've looked at the SX-series and they are within my pricerange).

What Crown amps should I get for this setup?

Using the guidelines discussed in previous postings: For the EVs you would be looking for an amplifier that could do around 800 watts per channel 8-ohms and be in the power range of 640 to 1000watts/ch 8-ohms.

In the XS series that would be the XS1200. The XS1200 is rated for 650 watts/ch 8-ohms.

According to the specs you quoted the Cerwin-Vega speakers dont follow standard power calculations so I would use the 600 watt number as the required power because the peak power is 1200 watts. So you would be looking for an amplifier that can do about 600 watts into an 8-0hm load per channel and be in the power range of 480 to 750 watts/ch, 8-ohms.

In the XS series that would be the XS900 or the XS1200. The XS900 is rated for 600 watts/ch, 8-ohms and the XS1200 is rated for 650 watts/ch 8-ohms.
