Hello,
Does Crown make a mic that's suitable for use by a group cycling instructor? It would need to be a headworn, wireless, sweat-resistant mic, and it can't be too expensive(the one this gym used to have had a headset, with some sort of waistband where the batteries went). Extremely accurate sound quality is not what we're looking for here - just something nice and reliable.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Crown manufacturers the CM-311 and CM-312 microphones that are headset microphones, however given the rest of the description you provided, I think that a complete solution for you might be found from our sister company AKG. They have various wireless microphone packages that include the option for headset microphones. Here is a link to their wireless page.
Hope that helps.

I talked with my counterpart at AKG, and he recommended that you look at a WMS 40 or WMS 400 system with a C444 headset
