I am having problems uploading or even getting a communication between the computer and the 810. running windows xp with iq for windows 5.1. Also using the straight thru cable? Is there any special settings to put in place? how to get it online if it shows offline???? thanks

When you say it is showing off line are you starting IQ for Windows and having it do a fresh rollcall or are you starting from a premade file?
If you are starting from a file then it may be that the USM-810 has a different address than the file.
