Powertech 1 yellow front panel light permanently on,no output .

Hi I have just aquired a powertech 1 amp. The yellow indicator light on channel  A is permanently lit and there is no output from that channel. What do I check please ?

Hello Gwyn,

First thing to do is to verify if you have shorts with the output devices : locate and measure the flyback diodes (parallel to the output devices); If you find a short on these diodes, it is very possible that you have blown output devices. You will have to troubleshoot the output board to locate and replace defective components.
Verify that the relays are still active and not damaged; They need to be energized for output operation; Verify the enabling circuit;
Make sure that the ODEP circuitry is active and not damaged;
