Hello everyone,

I am testing some amplifiers and wondering what a curve of temperature vs THD+N generally looks like?  Specifically, when an amplifier is "very hot" due to high output, would you expect THD+N to increase?

Thanks,

Doug

In an analog amp, yes. This is power transistor territory.
With a BCA (ie. ITech, CTs) amp? Not sure... and probably very slight increase : the output devices are nearly always at the same temperature, idle (until sleep) or operating.
