Hello everybody,
I bought in the USA on ebay a CTS 4200. Unsurprisingly, it comes with a 110v input.
The trouble is that i live in europe, so I need to convert 220v to 110v.
What would be the best way to do so :
- upgrade the internal power supply ? which part number ? where can I buy it ?
- use an external converter ? What power sould it deliver : 200w ? 500w ? 1000W ?
Many thanks in advance for your help,

I don't know how to actually accomplish it but the best thing is to convert the internal power supply, not always possible, almost never easy but still is the best solution cause a step down transformer doesn't convert the grid frequency from 50 to 60 herz.

@dakos :
thank you for your answer. I was told that most amplifiers are not sensible to the difference in the current frequency ?
Can someone from the Crown team add some input ?
By the way, happy Independance Day to all !
Many thanks in advance,

We would recommend you consider other option of returning this amplifier to whom you purchased and procure a amplifier from within the country you intend to use it in. Warranty is only valid in US and if this amp needed repair the local distributor would not assist you. Switching the Voltage on this amp is not a simple task as many of the systems are indeed referenced to the incomming power. Best solution is buy the correct amp from your country.
