How laud is it? how many speakers do you have it powering? what speakers? how are they connected (Parallel or Series)? Does it shut down compleatly?

Do an electrolytic recap.

There has been issues with broken leads on the heatsinked drivers. Pass the soldering gun over the driver leads: if the lead moves or falls, then replace the transistor. Also, verify the .4 ohms emitter resistors: they may crack at the solder connection and cause all sorts of intermittent problems, such as yours.
