On the advice of this forum, I am running two JBL  728 subs with 1 ma 9000 I.  This is just great stuff....couldn't be happier.  My question is that many venues we play could actually use a bit more.  Our sound guy has a pair of older SR4719 subs.  Two questions.......1. How do you feel about running 4 subs on this amp at 2 ohms a side??  And 2. Anybody have any thoughts on pairing the 728's with the 4719's?..

This amp does a really good job at hard loads such as 2ohms/ch, but I've never personally heard the SR4719's before.

Which model 4719 are they?

Note the different port between the woofers and general box contraction...
SR4719A:

SR4719X:

If you have the SR4719X then they are pretty comparable with the SRX728s, the SR4719A is a good box but a bit inferior sounding to those two.

Another thing, won't you get all sorts of weird cancellations, eventually lowering the SQ when coupling different type of subs?

I guess if you already have everything, so why not put it all together and see how it all plays?

Answer from another forum:
if the frequency response of the two are very close then you might manage that otherwise you need expensive gear to make if work, more expensive then buying additional subs and amps. If I remember correctly you have DPRA and that's not enough.

So we're back to just connecting it all and see how it sounds...
