I have a Crown D-75A that sounds absolutely wonderful EXCEPT for a slight/faint, 60hz transformer hum/buzz sound . I don't hear this noise in the music, only from the actual amplifier itself. Is this "normal" ? Is there any way to "soundproof" and "quiet" these little amps?

That transformer does buzz a bit. I have one myself, they all do that. I have heard of people putting a piece of thing, mushy foam on the top and bottom of the transformer to alleviate the noise. I have never done this, so I do not know how well it works. I usually am listening to music through it so I don't notice it.
