Hi all!
I have an XTi2000 powering 1 or 2 (depending on the situation) 4 X 10 bass cab(s). Ratings for the cabs are: 500 RMS/1000 Program, 8 ohms, -3db 60-18 kHz, -10db @ 43 Hz. I usually run it bridged. Just using 4 string basses tuned to E or Eb, and one tuned to C.

Looking for any recommendations for the HP filter, and if I should use the limiter.

Thanks

A highpass filter at 40Hz or so would soften some of the typical transient pickup noise/pops.

If you're clipping a lot, I'd set the limiter to -3dB when you are using 1 cabinet; otherwise it's not necessary.

Thanks Kevin!

Haven't had it clip yet but wanted to confirm about the limiter.

Any recommendations about slope? 24db or 48db? Butterworth or Linkwitz?

I'm clueless about that stuff....

Thanks again

The slope and type are best set to taste; there isn't a correct answer.  Butterworth and Linkwitz are just two different filter topologies.  The main effect they will have are in how they acoustically combine with other speakers/filters.  In your case it's inconsequential.
