We have been monitoring activity on the forums since they went "live" in early October, and found that while things have been running very smoothly for the vast majority of users, some have had difficulty with the validating email sent from the forum when establishing their new account.

The downloads area of the forums was previously not available to new accounts until they were validated by clicking on a link in an email sent to the account when the account was created.

It is not our intention to make it difficult or troublesome to access IQ Network software or firmware, so we have made the following changes:

• Now, as soon users create a new account, they have access to the downloads area.
  
• New users may also view the public discussion forums, but may not post until their account is validated.
  
• Validating accounts will now remain active for thirty (30) days, rather than five (5) days as before. After thirty days, the account will be deleted if not validated.

We still will require account validation via email for accounts to remain active, as we feel we need email addresses on file should we need to contact the user-base in the future. Please assure that you received the validating email from the forums when you set up your account. If you don't receive the email, send an email to "forums@iqaudiosystems.com" to let us know and we will look into the matter.
