A question came to me recently having to do with several computers on a network all running different versions of IQwic software. The issues come when running IQ Gateway for accessing legacy (non-TCP/IQ) components via a network. Components are found on one or more computers but are not being seen, or able to be controlled, on others.

With each and every version release of software we endeavor to provide not only updates to the way the software looks and feels but also to what it can do. Sometimes these upgrades require new coding that may interact differently with previous versions.

We recommend that all computers run the same version of software especially when IQ Gateway is being used to control/monitor non-TCP/IQ components.
