My drummer's CM-311A has been acting up a bit so he gave it to me to fix. While fixing it I think I found a cheeseburger in the grill of the mic. Anyone have recommendations on cleaning up a CM-311A?

You can remove the foam pop filter and wash in it soap and water. When it dries, put it back on the microphone. If you want to order a replacement foam pop filter, call Crown's Parts Dept. at 574-294-8210, and ask for the WS-6 windscreen for a CM-311A.

When you refer to the grille of the mic, do you mean the foam pop filter or the wire-mesh grille on the back of the mic? That wire-mesh grille can be removed for cleaning, but doing so would void your warranty. If it's a serious problem, please send the CM-311A to Crown Factory Service, 1718 W. Mishawaka Rd., Elkhart, IN 46517. First call Crown Customer Support to get a return authorization. 574-294-8200.
