I swapped one USP3/CN for another one in a Cts 2000, loaded all the settings, and had 10db less output from the amp. Is there a sensitivity switch somewhere on te card or is the amp starting to go bad?

The amplifier is not going bad. There was a change made in the USP-3 cards back over a year ago. This changed the input gain of the card. There isn't an easy change back for this as the gain is controlled by surface mounted resistors.
