What else do you have working? other amps? what kind of tops do you have? any sound processors? write to us all the gear you own...

I am running an ampeg 4-10 cabinet with a b2re amp and running the crown xls1500 through it to run the 18" sub I was just looking for setting for the crown.
Thanks

If I got you correctly then you want to use the XLS1500/SVT18 combo in parallel to the 4-10/B-2RE to get more bass? in that case it's highly NOT recommended since the two enclosures have different frequency response and you will most certainly get a bad sounding system due to cancellations of the two uneven sources.
Was that what you wanted to do?

I am just using the b2re preamp out to connect the crown i am not running it parallel to the b2re if that makes any sence? Thanks

I thought the B-2RE was an amp, you are only using it to drive the XLS? Never mind that, the only thing that matters is if you want to run both subs at the same time? That is what I meant that is unrecommended...

The b2re is only running the 4 10 cabinet and the xls is running the 18 svt sub through the preamp out

Yes, this is exactly what I meant when I wrote my earlier post, this is 99 out of a 100 a bad sounding system... You could be the lucky one
If you need more bass, you need to get more of the same thing, preferably run by the same amp.
Any way, if you need the recommended settings for this amp, I would activate the limiter and set the high pass filter to the -3dB of the sub at 24dB/octave L/R type. Use the manual for the amp to actually set these parameters.

This is a bass guitar rig. Bass players often runs two different cabs to get the tone they want, presumably with some crossover to split the range between the two cabinets. The one with the big driver gets the sub lows and the one with the ten inches drivers get the midbass and up.
Unless I have understood the situation wrong!

This bass head doesn't have a crossover and I didn't see any on his gear list so he is running them in plain parallel feeding both of them the exact same signal which means terrible wierd cancellations.

He could try to determine the natural rolloff of the 4-10 and use a complementary low pass on the XLS1500 to feed the 18 incher.

Yes this is correct I am only using the preamp from the b2re to run the the 18 with the crown so what ever adjusments i make to the xls it does not affect the 4-10

That's a great idea

Could you post a link to your speakers?
It will be on the ampeg website....http://www.ampeg.com/
