Hi there,

i have purchased a XLS 1000 & i'm verry happy with the sound and the power of this light box. i use it only for home listening.
i use XLR inputs with my Dac output and RCA input for other applications.
can i let the two inputs connected at the same time( assuming the other device i don't use, is powered off). no impedance mismatch? or other phenomena?
will be any schematics available on your website?

thks.

What do you mean by DAC? Digital Analog Converter? is it your mixer? preamp?
Post a link to whatever you have feeding the signal to all your devices.

I would not leave two devices connected at the same time.  A device's output may present a low impedance load to the other output, leading to audible distorsion.  Actually, the output impedance can be different with the unit powered or not powered.  As you said, this can produce unexpected results!  Also, you are probably losing the benefits of the balanced connection when something unbalanced is also connected on the same circuit.

I don't think Crown freely publishes schematics for current models.
