I have a iq interface. I'm wanting to control some White Instruments 4700-2IQ Equalizers. What software would I use? Theirs or yours?

You would need the IQ for Windows 5.12 software. With that said there was a firmware update chip that was needed to make the older versions of the White 4700 EQ work with IQwin. I am not sure if this is still available or not. However give it a try with the IQ for Windows software.
If IQwin doesn't work the other choice is to use the IQ Turbo software. However to do this you will need a computer running on DOS or Windows 95 to allow the Turbo software to work.

What does it mean?

This means that the software has seen something on Loop 3 of the Interface but there is a break in the loop so it can not communicate. This could also be a miss-wireing on one of the Loop connectors or a bad component that has broken the data Loop.
