I have a new XLS 202 I use for highs in a tri-amp system. I've noticed a red LED glowing inside the amp on the left side. I have three other XLS amps, older models, and have never seen this LED. There's no degrade in performance, and I cannot find this feature in the manual. What is it? Is there a problem?

It appears to be related to the thermal reference control circuit. As long as the light is on everything is fine!

Certain models of the amplifier came with these LEDs inside to help our engineers diagnose the amplifier's functionality. The LEDs will light up and are not an indicator of any issues.

I realize it has been years since someone posted this thread . . . is there a schematic for the main board that shows the internal LED? The legacy schematics do not show it.
Thanks!
