The right power

3 posts in this topic

I am using a four way amping rig. Would the CE 1000 model be the right amp

to use with a 16 Ohms 160 watts compression driver?

Thanks.

160 watts what??? Continuous, Program or Peak?

We do not have a published spec for 16-ohm power but it would be around 200 watts with a 16-ohm load.

If the drivers are 160w Continuous than you would be looking for an amp that could do about 320w in the power range of of 256-400 watts/16 -ohms. So the amp would be a little small.

If the drivers are 160 watts Program than the amp should be alright.

If the drivers are 160 watts Peak than the amp is a little large.

:)
