i wanted to buy a couple of i-tech amps but i am wondering about how they disipate the heat. i want to stick a qsc plx amp on the horns, the crowns on lows and mids, and don't want to have overheating problems. i cannot find this spec on the web site.

All of our fan-assisted amplifiers pull cooler outside air in the front and exaust out the back. This way they are not pulling in the already warm/hot rack air, being heated up by other electronics, to try and cool themselves. An Explaination and Illustration of air flow is available in the "setup" section of the I-Tech Series Operatons Manual ( http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/amps/137289.pdf )as well as in the "Fan-Assisted Models" section of the Crown "Amplifier Application Guide"( http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/133472.pdf ). :)

.... I was shocked the first time my "thermal indicator" in IQ went from 0 to 5% - I has to be outdoors in 90 degree weather to make it move!

thanks, it seems i won't be able to stick a crown amp in the same rack as a qsc or a crest amp, since they both draw air in the back and out the front. :(
