System Architect error

4 posts in this topic

Out of the blue my System Architect wouldn´t start one day.

I get Microsofts error reporting notice, but thats it.

When looking at EventViewer (eventvwr.exe) this is what it says:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting

Class: 5000

EventType clr20r3, P1 systemarchitect.exe,

P2 1.30.0.0, P3 4582e5d3, P4 systemarchitect,

P5 1.30.0.0, P6 4582e5d3, P7 86e, P8 dc,

P9 system.typeinitialization, P10 NIL.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

When searching Google for this error I´ve noticed that

I´m not the only one with this kind of problem. I haven´t found

anyone having the same with System Architect though. And no solution there.

So, the problem has something to do with .NET Framework.

That´s all i know.

I realize this is propably an OS problem and could be solved by

reinstalling OS, but I really wouldn´t want to do that. It´s a weeks project

to get everything back the way it was.

I have a fairly new JBL VRX932 rig with I-Tech amps and XTi´s as

monitor amps. Since I haven´t done many gigs with it yet it would be

almost essential to have PC control for the amps (I use internal Xovers,

EQ´s etc..).

thanks for any help!

We are not sure exactly might be causing the error other than .NET is generating it. I discussed this with one of our engineers and we suggest that you go into the Windows Control Panel and using the "Add Remove Programs" uninstall the .NET Framework.

Then reinstall the Microsoft .NET Framework. The .NET Framework installer is available to download from either Microsoft or Harman Pro at:

Done that now. Didn´t help.

I removed all Frameworks versions and reinstalled after booting the computer.

When I got to Framework 2.0 I installed System Architect 1.3 R2 (before any

Framework 2.0 updates). After trying that i installed rest of Framework updates.

No change.

Glad to notice theres a new release of System Architect, 1.40 R1. Seems to work fine so far!

Anyway, DGlass, thanks for help.
