  1. Hello all I am new to this forum. New to pro audio also. I have this setup a Mackie 1402-vzl pro mixer connected to a crown XTI 1000 amp via 2 XLR cables, from the crown amp to 2 JBL AC2212/64 loud speakers wired using 16 guage wire on channel 1 & 2. The problem is when i power up everything and test it using a dvd/cd player connected to the RCA tape output L and R, I can hear the cd playing but it is so low it is insane. I turn all the levels up on the mackie mixer I have the 2 dials for the crown amp on channels 1 and 2 turned up all the way up and you have to almost put your ear on the speaker to hear the music. I have tried other speakers as well same problem. I have never hooked up a pro audio system before and assume there is something I am missing here, it must be very simple. Is there a button I need to press on the mixer or on the led presets of the amp? I cant be this dumb. I am having a DJ come tomorrow and must have this working by then . Please help ASAP. Thanks John
