  3. no the mixer doesn't have balanced 1/4". As far as the cables having a short, they don't because they work fine for other applications. So my next question would be: If i make a cable like you stated(as in the manual) that would be the correct way to do this, instead of using the 1/4" to xlr transducer. I believe the transducers are what is causing the input level issue. thanks again for the help.
  4. I'm trying to use 1/4" unbalanced outputs from a mixing board into my XTi 1000. I have some 1/4" to xlr transducers but they don't seem to work correctly.(input level too low). Anyone have another idea on how to do this. I was gonna try wiring a 1/4" to xlr cable using the unbalanced input diagram in the manual, will this work? thanks for any help.
