  1. I have just found out that I _can_ get the UB802 here in Santiago..... the question now is whether it has balanced outputs..... does anyone know???? I've gone through the documentation, and it is not very clear..... have only found ONE place (at Behringer's website) that says: "The ¼” outputs _can_ be used with either TS (Tip/Sleeve) unbalanced high-impedance connectors or with TRS (Tip/Ring/Sleeve) balanced low-impedance connectors." It does not say they _are_ balanced...... what do you guys say??? Thanks in advance! Cheers, MO
  2. I guess you're right..... anyone else who would recommend one..........?? I kinda think of the Art's one better, because I can get it from Amazon - very easily from here, Santiago, Chile Cheers, MO
  3. Once again, many thanks for your reply. Given that either of the options I have to go and buy them... and given that both cost mostly the same ($50), which one would you get??? Cheers, MO
  4. Hello there, Sorry for the x-posting, but I just realized it may be better posting here..... So I finally got my Xs900 connected, and the "huummmmmmmm" noise is just unbearable... I bought this cable to connect my Onkyo receiver to the amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7391557659 Not actually the one on the picture, it is the one with RCA male on one end, and 1/4" phono-plug (mono - one black strip) on the other end. As soon as I take the gain control on the amp a little up, the "hum" noise starts.... it is actually awful. The cable is a 1 meter long, so I can discount this; but is there anything else I can check??? BTW, I'm powering the Zone 2 preamp out of the receiver.... no problem at all when I use the Zone 2 speaker connectors directly. I would appreciate your feedback. Cheers, MO

  6. Thanks, man! Once again...! Thankfully, I have learned what a gain control is...... but you did answer my question in the last line of your email Thanks to this then! Cheers, MO
  7. Hi again, Is there any scale on what ouput the amp is producing for certain number of "clicks" at the level knob?? I would appreciate your response. Thanks, MO
  8. Many thanks man...... I got this was the trade-off _after_ I got it.... thing is it was TOO MUCH of a deal to having let go......... I guess the design of the furniture that my audio equipment will go in will be more critical that I thought it would Thanks again. Cheers, MO
  9. Hello there, First time posting..... I've just gotten a Xs900 amplifier (a deal I could not resist!!) for home use... and was wondering whether you can do something about the noisy fans that start moving as soon as you turn the ampl ON. Can you turn them OFF? I know this would breing temperature issues if you give the amp a hard time, but for normal use, it may not..... Can you control their speed, maybe?? I would appreciate your feedback and comments in this regard! Many thanks in advancce, and very nice meeting you Cheers, MO
