  1. I have had several Crown XTi4000 amps and I am still confused of the bridge mode and how to connect speakers to get the max bridge load. The manual is confusing and very limited in how it describes the modes. Here are my questions. 1). The manual states on pg. 13 that in bridge-mono mode fig. 2.9 shows cable in to input one cable out of output one to sub I got that. I am assumng if the sub is 8ohms then that would get the rated bridged mono power of 2400 from a XTi4000 and if I daisy chained two 8ohm subs that would get 4ohms and 3200 watts correct (1600 per box)? 2). On pg. 24 it says in bridge mode you use both channel inputs and they are mono summed and sent to both outputs. That is totally oppostie of pg. 13??? If that is the case then if Ihook up two 8ohm subs one to each out put is that the same as I described as daisy chaining in question 1 and does that deliver 3200watts total to the two subs which means they get 1600 each? It also says the same for bridge subs except it adds LP filter of 100Hz but when you actually look at that thru Band Manager it is gettin 90 Hz and a HP filter of 20 Hz. The Y shows Ch1 + CH2. I am confused someone please explain. Thanx!
  2. Xti 4000 bridged mode output?

So do you do +1 +2 on both ends of the cable? or just the amp end?
  3. I figured it out. I appreciate the info. Thanx!
  4. I downloaded Band Manager. I tried to do the crossover but it cuts everything above the frequency. I can't seem to figure how to cut everything below the frequency for both channels.
  5. XTi Crossover

I recently bought one Xti2000 and two Xti4000's. I want to use the 2000 for a pair of mains running mono off the board (Yamaha MG24/14FX). I want to run a 4000 bridged mono to each sub. Mains are two Yamaha C215V's and subs are two CW218V's. I tried to get into the crossover but seemed to only be able to cut freq's above a certain point not cut freq's below a certain point. Crossover point for subs is 90hz 12db/oct. Will you suggest the best setup for me to run these amps and also how to work the crossover? Thanx! BTW: I posted this under another thread/group but did not receive any response.
  6. XTI 2000 BM with JBL MRX525

Hi, When running an amplifier in bridge , you are inverting the channels of the amplifier so output is derived off 1+ and 2+ on the back of the amplifier. You need to wire your speakon accordingly, or use the banana plugs. The back of the amplifer speakon socket on CH 1 allows 1+ and 2+ to be selected. A 2 core cable is sufficient for BM operation. thanks Rob ========================== What about the speaker end? Do you have to rewire that too?
