About tundraSQ

  1. I have searched the manual and the forums and see no way to set this thing back to factory defaults. I'm not having any issues or anything, I just was looking for this info.
  2. Putting a two pronged cheater plug on the xTi eliminates the hum......so now I have to troubleshoot where the ground loop is coming from? I am told this is not a permanent fix?
  3. I will try sending my iPod to it and get back to you.....thanks!!
  4. I am having trouble setting this up properly. Hers where I am and I am getting hum. Marantz SR7500 sending a mono RCA cable into the Promatch right channel. Single XLR out of the Promatch into the XTI2000 right channel. Promatch set to just below the halfway detent....and XTI 2000 is at about halfway. If I turn either of the units gain down, the hum lessens alot, but I also have no bass. sub is a TC2000 15" 4 ohm SVC in a large ported enclosure.
  5. If you are running a mono signal to the MB-15 then I would opt for option three. Run the RCA cable to one channel of the MB-15 and take the balanced XLR out, of that MB-15channel, to the amplifier. Yes it will be a mono subwoofer out from my AVR. Thanks!!! I'll get back in touch if I run into any problems. I received the amp today 2 questions... 1. I am using the Promatch unit ahead of the xi2000 and I was wondering if there was any advantage in running a y cable into the promatch and then running 2 xlr cables into the xti200 and choosing mono channel 1+channel 2 in the "Y" menu? 2. How can I tell if I really got a new amp? I ordered from AudioLines and paid for a new amp since they claimed to be out of B-stock. Problem is the unit shipped without being double boxed and the "Crown" box was obviously opened prior to me gettting it, as both sides of the box the staples were open, and there was clear packing tape that was obviuosly not factory. Plus the content packaging looked unfactory like too. The amp looks fine and it has a March 17th sitcker on it and the serial number of the unit matches the box and that matches a register tape like that has printed info on it saying the amp passed all tests. I called crown today and they did not offer up much other than to say i should call audiolines, and they said that they open boxes there before shipping to test the products... (doubtful IMO)... It just left me with a bad taste concerning audiolines. 1) There would be no advantage mono before the Promatch and then one the one connection to the amplifier. 2)If the date code of the amp is in a reasonable time relationship to when you bought it, the white sticker on the box has a serial number that matches the amp and the testing slip matches then you can be pretty much assured that when the box left us it was a new amplifier. Federal law prohibits us from changing the manufacturing date code on amplifiers that have been reconditioned and resold. Thus the category stock listing of category amplifiers. As for why the box was opened..... we would have no way of knowing if the amp was used or not between the time we shipped it to the dealer and the time you received it, or even if the box were opened for testing by the dealer or even if UPS/DHL/FedEx opened it for inspection. As was mentioned in your call - you would have to take that concern up with the dealer the product was purchased from and shipped it. If you receive a package that is questionable from a shipper you have the right to refuse the delivery and contact the dealer about the condition it came in and request a replacement as we have no control of product once it leaves the factory and is in the hands of shippers and dealers. We do spot checks of amplifiers from time to time during a production run and if we were to do an inspection the box would be factory stapled not taped. All our boxes are designed to ship direct so there would be no reason to double box an amp unless the dealer decided they wanted to. 1.thanks 2. date code was march 17, so that seems fine to me. If I fire it up an here anything that seems wrong to me I will ask them to ship me a new amp. There are no marks on the amp so my guess is that someone opened it and repacked it. thanks again!!!

  8. I think my original question is now irrelevant...more reading has led me to the suggested use of the rolls promatch mb15. So my next question is about the cabling with this piece added. Is this now the correct cabling scheme? 1. singe RCa out of avr, and "y"ed into the 2 rca inputs of the MB15. 2. a pair of XLR's out of the MB15 and into the Xti200 3. OR should I just buy a single XLR cable and run it out of the MB15 and into CH1 of the XTi? Now what settings on the xti2000 will i use for the single 4ohm TC2000? bridged mono?
  9. 1st post so go easy on me.... I am going to be using the xti2000 in my home theater and I need to build a cable that will take my single RCA output from my AVR to the XLR input on the Xti. From reading the manual it says in bridged mode only channel one is active....but reading this it would seem that I want to build a "y" cable to gain the extra 6db? If so Does the pinout remain the same? I am planning on grabbing this cable from Blue jeans cable unless anyone has a better suggestion. thanks guys!!! Tim
